Little asides...

Our "bloggist," Hannah, didn't mention a couple details... We were quite the whitest people in church.  Historically, whoever told us not to clap and "Amen" spontaneously in worship,  was fortunately ignored by some.

A fire alarm went off while we were at Arlington Cemetery and we had to evacuate the Visitor's Center.  No harm done, but alarms make us wonder when we're in public places in the nation's capital!

Enjoying your comments, you "followers."

  1. We are enjoying your adventures and praying for you daily. In church today I mentioned your visiting the Memorials as we had a special prayer for our men & women who have & do serve in our military. I mentioned the words from the Korean War Memorial: "Freedom is not Free". Another gorgeous day here like you had, clear, sunny & about 75 degrees. Had a special prayer for Cole and Kelsey today during worship. Had both share their plans & then I read their prayer request from their Application Forms and then prayed for them. Good Food at potluck, especially Nancy's Roast Pork with Smashed Potatoes and Pork Gravy. Love to all, dan and nancy
